Why do I suck at this

My corset has been going so well till I went to try it on. I accedenyly put an extra eyelet on one side, the eyelets are ripping up my laces, and the busk came out when I fastened it. So I top stitched it back in( it was the only way with out taking apart the whole thing ). I put glue around the metal eyelets to hopefully smooth it ou so it stops tearing. And I don't know what to do about the extra besides ignore it. Oh well, hopefully it will be done this weekend. Then on to the fun stuff.
