I had a little crisis last night, I realized that the Jane Austin ball is 1790s, but my gown is 1810s. Is anyone else doing general regency? It's not too late to change. Also, my collet necklace broke. I'm super pissed about that.

You'll be fine. There is always a range of dress styles

Regency is perfect! That's what I usually wear, this is my first late 1790's gown You'll see folks in all ranges of attire, and you'll be one of the best dressed there! :)

My dress is bordering on late teens/early 20s, so don't worry!

and BOOO that your necklace broke!! Is it repairable at home or do you have to send it back?

Okay, I feel better about it now. Thanks. I'm going to try to fix it myself, see if it works.

There are always people who are not with the period at those things, really it's more general "Regency", don't worry.

This. There is a huge range of costumes and plenty of terrible modern-ish regency-ish stuff. It's not a group that is going to nitpick that you're off by a decade or something! Just come and have fun!
