Usually I try to rest between big projects, but this time I went right back into it. I'm almost done a red wool regency dress for the pumpkin tea. That should be done in a day or two.
And I'm still up in the air about the ball gown. I tried on my 1860s gown to see if it still fits, and it does. It's ideal for the dickens ball, it's red and Christmasy. But I'm not excited for it like I am for the Edwardian. I found readymade corsets from red threaded. It's more than I would normally spend, but it might be worth it. The dress would be a stash project. I could get it done in time if I keep it simple. Should I strike while the creative irons hot? Or take the easy, safe road?
